My car was stolen last Friday and I was in between vending spaces, so I had all kinds of goods in the trunk: all of my books, a few paintings, crystals, collected rocks and seashells, and more. Every time I’d remind myself that Universe makes no mistakes, something else would hit me (I had tax documents with my name/social in there, and if they don’t find it I’ll only be paid the value versus what I still have left to pay on it).
Lemme step outta this story real quick to say that I have an amazing team of support and guides. Andrea reaches out every couple days to remind me that she’s here if I need anything. Stuff Akilah said and wrote years ago are feeding me still (e.g. “I take full responsibility for the experience I’m having”). And Adriene (on YouTube as Yoga With Adriene), is leading me through a 30-day yoga challenge and she constantly reminds me to move and make space in my body.
We often put off what we wanna do for what we gotta do (and this car situation is giving me plenty to do). And I ain’t saying stress yourself into overwhelm, but I am suggesting being deliberate about what consumes your time and energy. I’m also suggesting making space, because if you ain’t noticed yet, to-do lists kinda never end.
Creative mojo calls for space. Writing a book, traveling, launching a business, starting a yoga practice, reserving more time for yourself, and otherwise designing the next level of your life calls for space. What occupies your mental, emotional, and physical space? Do some things need be purged or do you just need some good ole’ prioritizing?

How can I make more space? That’s what I’ve been constantly asking myself. In my body and in my environment, how can I make more space? I appreciate that I can also look back into my resources and find guidance. Here’s a writing prompt from Lesson 13 of my self-study guide, Women Who Ain’t Afraid to Curse When Communicating With God:
Set a timer for five minutes, then make a list of words that come to mind when you think of living your golden years, the period of life when you feel you have time and freedom to accomplish anything. Afterwards, pick three that resonate with you the most.
They could be what you wrote first, those that keep repeating themselves, or ones that just speak to you. Make a simple plan of how you can integrate those three worlds–of the feeling of them–in how you feel right now.

My three words are: travel, self-employment, soul-mate.
Those words give me feelings of freedom and love. Feels good and looking forward to seeing selfies of you and the love of your life on an airplane taking a break from your entrepreneurial projects (or on a business trip), traveling to another corner of the world. *Bliss*
