6 steps to get you back on track

The Mercury Retrograde is OVAH! While it actually ended a week ago, I didn’t feel like doing nay-thing until now. I was in recovery mode. Did a bunch of napping and just lying around. I didn’t even feel like chatting on the phone. Whenever possible, I opted for text or voice messages back and forth.

I so love that the woman I am today is okay with admitting what I don’t feel like doing.

There’s balance to that, however, especially when it comes to self-care. During the retrograde, I did a whole lot of not feeling like doing much, including working out or eating right. I did a lil’ something something every now and then, but when I needed it most, I didn’t. The stuff that was working for me to give me peace, I abandoned.

One of those six steps is to do what you can.

If this ain’t the season for two-hour workouts, then do a few squats for now and maybe a few push-ups later. Before tucking yourself in for the night, reach for your toes and hold it for a few deep breaths. It all counts. You don’t feel like writing your name, let alone working on your book. Before you give yourself a pass, check in with the writing gauge.

That’s doable, right?
