Software Review: Asana

Asana is a godsend for entrepreneurs.

It is a task management software which allows for efficient teamwork without having to juggle multiple e-mails. All e-mails, uploads, tasks, details, due dates, etc. can be kept right there within one project. Using Asana, you can maintain multiple workspaces which hold various projects. Within those projects and/or workspaces, you  can add teammembers. However, just because you add someone to one project, they are not automatically added to others. That’s what I love about it.

Asana is particularly effective to B2B relationships. But even if it’s just you, then that’s totally fine. I keep a workspace entitled Personal Projects where I maintain a file for each client that I have. This way everything is where I need it to be. Should I be out and about and need to retrieve any information regarding that project, then it’s right there. Again, I don’t have to worry about digging through my e-mail or rushing home to grab it from my desktop.

Another plus is that Asana can be integrated into a number of other software programs, including GitHub, JIRA, Sprintboards, Google Calendar, Google Drive, MailChimp, etc. If you don’t have Asana already, then I strongly advise you to check it out. If you have tried it, drop a line and share how it’s working for you.
